These loaded cheesy nachos are a quick, adaptable, and crowd-pleasing recipe perfect for game nights, casual get-togethers, or family dinners. Piled high with gooey cheese, seasoned meat, and fresh toppings, they deliver pure comfort with every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Tortilla Chips
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • Taco seasoning (homemade or store-bought)
  • Black beans, rinsed and drained
  • Jalapeños, sliced thin (fresh or pickled)
  • Chunky salsa (mild, medium, or hot)
  • Sour cream
  • Guacamole (optional)
  • Tomatoes, diced
  • Green onions, thinly sliced
  • Cilantro, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned—about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and 2 tablespoons of water. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, ensuring the seasoning is well combined. Set aside.
  4. Spread tortilla chips evenly on a large baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the chips.
  6. Evenly scatter the seasoned beef, black beans, and jalapeños across the chips. Top with the remaining cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and immediately add diced tomatoes, green onions, cilantro, and dollops of sour cream and guacamole.
  9. Serve warm directly from the baking sheet or transfer to a large platter for presentation.

Notes

Use sturdy tortilla chips to avoid sogginess. Layer cheese and toppings strategically for even distribution. Serve immediately after baking for the crispiest chips. Customize toppings to suit your preferences.
