Creamy, tangy, with just the right kick of spice—this jalapeno cream cheese dip is the ultimate party starter and snack-time hero.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 23 fresh jalapenos, seeded and finely chopped
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: chopped green onions, crispy bacon bits, or a sprinkle of paprika

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the jalapenos. Cut off the tops, slice them in half lengthwise, and remove the seeds and membranes for a milder dip. Finely chop them and set aside.
  2. Let the cream cheese sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to soften.
  3. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Use a hand mixer (or whisk) to blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. Fold in the chopped jalapenos and shredded cheddar cheese using a spatula. Mix until evenly distributed.
  6. For best flavor, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15–30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  7. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and garnish with optional toppings like chopped green onions or crispy bacon bits. Serve with crackers, veggies, or chips.

Notes

For a spicier dip, leave some seeds in the jalapenos or add a pinch of cayenne pepper. If the dip feels too thick, add a tablespoon of milk or sour cream to loosen the consistency.
