Adorable paw print-shaped peanut butter cookies with a soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich nutty flavor. Perfect for parties, bake sales, or cozy treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate chips (semi-sweet, milk, or white)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, peanut butter, and sugar until smooth and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture, beating until well combined.
  4. Gradually add in the flour, mixing just until the dough comes together. Do not overmix.
  5. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, portion out the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each ball.
  6. Using a fork, gently press down on each ball of dough to create the paw print shape. Press once horizontally and then vertically to mimic the paw pads.
  7. Place a few chocolate chips into the indents to complete the paw print design.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Avoid overbaking to keep the cookies soft.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.

Notes

[‘Make sure your butter and egg are at room temperature for the best mixing results.’, ‘Don’t skip the parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.’, ‘Press the fork gently for even paw prints; imperfections add character.’, ‘If chocolate chips don’t stick well after baking, gently press them into the cookies while they’re still warm.’, ‘Store in an airtight container to keep them fresh and soft for days.’]
