A refreshing and perfectly balanced summer drink combining tart blue raspberry syrup, fresh lime juice, and vodka, blended to icy slushie perfection. Quick and easy to make, perfect for summer parties or casual get-togethers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 tablespoons blue raspberry syrup
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) vodka
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 3 cups (about 700 g) ice cubes
  • 1 teaspoon sugar or simple syrup (optional)
  • Fresh raspberries or blueberries (optional for garnish)
  • Mint leaves (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Roll the lime on the counter to soften it, then cut and juice until you have about 1 tablespoon (15 ml). Set aside.
  2. Add 3 cups (700 g) of solid ice cubes to a high-powered blender.
  3. Pour in 4 tablespoons (60 ml) of blue raspberry syrup.
  4. Add 1/2 cup (120 ml) vodka. For a lighter drink, reduce to 1/3 cup (80 ml) or substitute with rum.
  5. Add the 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of fresh lime juice.
  6. If desired, add 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of simple syrup or sugar for extra sweetness.
  7. Pulse the blender on high for 30 to 45 seconds until the texture is icy and slushy but not watery. Adjust by adding a splash of cold water or soda if too thick, or more ice if too thin.
  8. Serve immediately in chilled glasses or mason jars. Garnish with fresh raspberries, blueberries, and mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Do not over-blend to avoid watery texture. Chill glasses before serving to keep slushies icy longer. For non-alcoholic version, substitute vodka with sparkling water or lemon-lime soda. Prepare liquid ingredients ahead and blend with ice just before serving for best texture.
