  • 8 ounces (225 g) thinly sliced deli turkey breast, low-sodium and nitrate-free recommended
  • 6 ounces (170 g) sharp cheddar cheese, sliced or cubed
  • Optional: 1/4 cup dill pickle slices
  • Optional: Handful of grape tomatoes
  • Optional: Small container of honey mustard or favorite dipping sauce

Instructions

  1. Slice 6 ounces (170 g) of sharp cheddar into thin, even slices about 1/8 inch (3 mm) thick or into 1/2-inch (1.3 cm) cubes.
  2. Slice 8 ounces (225 g) of deli turkey breast into bite-sized pieces or fold slices into small squares to fit on crackers.
  3. Lay out about 40 butter-flavored crackers on a serving tray or lunchbox compartments, spacing them to avoid breaking.
  4. Place a slice of turkey on half of the crackers, then top with a slice or cube of cheddar. Finish by topping with the remaining crackers to create sandwich-style bites.
  5. If using pickles or grape tomatoes, arrange them in a separate compartment or small container. Include a small container of honey mustard if desired.
  6. Pack tightly and refrigerate if making for later, or serve immediately to enjoy the crispness and fresh flavors.
