  • Puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface to smooth out any creases.
  4. Cut the pastry into equal squares, approximately 3×3 inches.
  5. Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center of each square.
  6. Fold each square into a triangle by bringing two opposite corners together and pressing the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges for extra security.
  7. Brush the tops with egg yolk for a golden finish.
  8. Place the pastries on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a bit of space between each one.
  9. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the pastries are puffed and golden brown.
  10. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving—they’ll be hot inside!
