  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (or almond flour for gluten-free)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs, preferably panko
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • Olive oil spray
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Pinch of cayenne (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional dipping sauce: Ranch, marinara, or spicy aioli

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or place a wire rack on top.
  2. Wash and dry the cauliflower, then cut it into bite-sized florets.
  3. Set up coating stations: In one bowl, mix the flour with the spices. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
  4. Dip each piece of cauliflower into the flour mixture, then the egg wash, and finally the breadcrumbs. Ensure they’re evenly coated.
  5. Place the coated florets on the wire rack or parchment-lined baking sheet. Spray lightly with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Let cool for a minute, then serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the pan for even crispiness. Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch. Adjust spice levels to taste.
