A quick and easy recipe for crispy baked chicken thighs coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze, perfect for a satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 46 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Brush or rub with olive oil, then season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  3. Place the chicken skin-side up on a wire rack set over a baking sheet. If no rack is available, place directly on a lined baking sheet with space between pieces.
  4. Bake the chicken for 25 minutes without disturbing.
  5. While the chicken bakes, whisk together minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
  6. After 25 minutes, remove the baking sheet and brush each thigh generously with the honey garlic glaze.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for another 10-12 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  8. Optional: Broil on high for 2-3 minutes for extra crispiness and deeper caramelization, watching closely to avoid burning.
  9. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes after removing from the oven.
  10. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Pat chicken dry before seasoning to ensure crispy skin. Apply glaze after initial baking to prevent burning. Use a wire rack for best crispiness. Broil briefly at the end for extra caramelization. Rotate tray halfway through baking if browning unevenly. Glaze can be prepared a day ahead and stored in the fridge.
