A quick and easy creamy buffalo chicken dip that combines tangy buffalo sauce with rich cream cheese, perfect for parties and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (about 300g, rotisserie chicken recommended)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened (225g)
  • ½ cup buffalo hot sauce (120ml, Frank’s RedHot recommended)
  • ½ cup ranch dressing (120ml, homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (100g)
  • ½ cup blue cheese crumbles (optional, 50g)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (5g)
  • 1 tsp onion powder (5g)
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ tsp black pepper (1g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Shred the cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces, aiming for about 2 cups (300g).
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer or spoon until smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the buffalo hot sauce and ranch dressing to the cream cheese and mix well until fully combined.
  5. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly distributed.
  6. Fold in the shredded chicken and half of the shredded cheddar cheese, coating the chicken well.
  7. Spoon the mixture into a prepared 8×8 inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and optional blue cheese crumbles on top.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until hot, bubbly, and golden on top.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool slightly for about 5 minutes before serving.
  11. Serve warm with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers.

Notes

Use softened cream cheese for smooth mixing. Adjust buffalo sauce amount to control heat level. If dip is too thick, add a splash of milk or ranch dressing. Avoid overbaking to prevent drying out. Leftovers keep well refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheat gently.
