This creamy berry smoothie is a quick, delicious, and refreshing treat packed with fruity goodness, perfect for breakfast, post-workout fuel, or a guilt-free dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mixed berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries, fresh or frozen)
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup plain or vanilla yogurt (Greek yogurt preferred, or coconut/almond yogurt for dairy-free option)
  • 1/2 cup milk (regular, almond, soy, or oat milk)
  • 12 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A handful of ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Wash the berries if using fresh, peel the banana, and measure out your yogurt, milk, and sweetener.
  2. Place the berries, banana, yogurt, milk, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and ice cubes into your blender.
  3. Start on a low setting to crush the ice and berries, then gradually increase to high speed. Blend for about 1-2 minutes or until the mixture is completely smooth.
  4. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash of milk and blend again. If it’s too thin, toss in a few more ice cubes or a bit more yogurt.
  5. Taste and adjust the sweetness or flavor as needed. Add an extra drizzle of honey or vanilla if you like.
  6. Pour into your favorite glass or jar and enjoy immediately. Add a garnish of fresh berries or a sprig of mint for a fancy touch.

Notes

[‘Use frozen berries for a thicker, colder smoothie.’, ‘Layer heavier ingredients like yogurt and banana at the bottom of the blender for easier blending.’, ‘Don’t overblend to avoid warming the smoothie.’, ‘Taste-test before serving to adjust sweetness or flavor.’, ‘If making ahead, skip the ice cubes and store in the fridge. Blend with ice before serving.’]
