Tender chicken coated in creamy Alfredo sauce, served on toasted buns for a comforting and indulgent meal perfect for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 46 hamburger buns, toasted
  • Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until it becomes translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds, just until fragrant.
  4. Add the shredded chicken to the skillet and stir to combine with the onion and garlic mixture.
  5. Pour in the Alfredo sauce and heavy cream. Stir well to coat the chicken evenly.
  6. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Toast the buns until golden brown. You can do this in a toaster or on a skillet.
  9. Scoop the chicken Alfredo mixture onto the toasted buns. Be generous—it’s okay if it gets a little messy!
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

[‘Toast the buns to prevent sogginess and add crunch.’, ‘Grate fresh Parmesan for better flavor and smoother melting.’, ‘Keep the heat on low to medium to avoid separating the Alfredo sauce.’, ‘Prepare the filling ahead of time and reheat with a splash of cream.’]
