These Big Mac Sliders pack all the flavors of your favorite fast-food burger into bite-sized sliders, perfect for game day or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450g) ground beef (80/20)
  • 12 slider buns
  • 12 slices American cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 12 slices dill pickles
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup finely diced white onion

Instructions

  1. Prepare the special sauce: In a mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, sweet pickle relish, and white vinegar. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. Season the beef: Place ground beef in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Mix gently to combine without overworking the meat.
  3. Form the patties: Divide the beef into 12 small portions and roll them into balls. Flatten each ball into a thin patty about the size of your slider buns.
  4. Cook the patties: Heat your skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 2 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Add a slice of cheese to each patty during the last 30 seconds of cooking.
  5. Toast the buns (optional): If desired, lightly butter the buns and toast them on the skillet until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the sliders: Spread a generous layer of special sauce on the bottom of each bun. Add a beef patty with melted cheese, a layer of shredded lettuce, a slice or two of pickle, and a sprinkle of diced onion. Top with the bun lid.
  7. Serve immediately: Arrange the sliders on a platter and serve while warm.

Notes

[‘Don’t overwork the beef to avoid dense patties.’, ‘Thin patties are key for authentic Big Mac-style sliders.’, ‘Toast the buns for added crunch and to prevent sogginess.’, ‘Keep the special sauce chilled for optimal flavor.’]
